Designing images can often feel overwhelming. Whether you're tasked with crafting visuals on short notice or working within a system that calls for dynamic creations—constructing images usually entails dealing with complex tools and scattered workflows.
We understand those challenges. At Stencil, we have consistently prioritized ease of use as the cornerstone of our tool development philosophy since day one. Every feature we build is meticulously designed to simplify and enhance our users' experiences, making their tasks more intuitive and efficient. In line with this commitment, we are thrilled to announce several major improvements aimed at further streamlining processes and boosting productivity: the auto-generated form feature and upgraded webhook integration.
The auto-generated form enables you to craft images effortlessly—with minimal effort and maximum efficiency. Meanwhile, our enhanced webhook integration page ensures that connecting your Stencil activities with other platforms is seamless and hassle-free.
Here's how these updates work and why we're confident they'll make your design tasks considerably smoother.
You've always had the ability to create forms using our form editor and generate images with them. Now, we're excited to bring this feature directly to the Console.
Stencil's Form Integration allows for more customization and option to embed in your own website or web application.
Previously, the simplest way to generate an image or PDF was through our Console page, by sending API requests directly to Stencil and crafting your modifications. While this method is user-friendly, it required a working knowledge of JSON writing.
We're changing that by bringing the intuitive ease of our form editor to the Console. You can now switch effortlessly between JSON and form views. Switching to the form view auto-generates a form based on your template, allowing you to generate images or PDFs with ease. Plus, you can still edit this form to add more customization layers as needed.
Integrating seamlessly with third-party apps or even your own app just got easier thanks to webhooks. With webhooks, our system automatically sends a call to your specified endpoint whenever an image is generated. Previously, you could only configure these webhooks through our API.
Now, we're excited to introduce our new webhook management page. As with everything in Stencil, this is integrated per template, and we're planning to expand these capabilities to projects in the future.
